Can you tell us a bit about the healthcare packages you offer employees?

Golden Hippo offers 100% employer-paid health benefits. The company pays 100% of the employee’s premium(s) and 75% of the dependents’ premium(s) for medical, dental, and vision. This is almost unheard of nowadays and we really pride ourselves on being able to offer this because our employee’s health and well-being is our priority. How have these offerings changed in the wake of the COVID-19 pandemic?

We’re happy to say that we’ve always offered a top-of-the-line healthcare package, so we didn’t need to change much during the pandemic. Instead, we focused on re-emphasizing the importance of taking care of your mental health in addition to your physical health by highlighting the mental health resources that are included in our award-winning healthcare package. We also remind employees that sick days can be used for mental health days, and we offer an Employee Assistance Program which is free, confidential, 24/7 counseling and support services.
